Patrick E. Gorman papers, 1918-1982 (bulk 1941-1980).

Newspaper clippings, correspondence, certificates, music manuscripts, printed materials, and other papers of Patrick E. Gorman, a Chicago (Ill.) songwriter, poet, and union official with the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America (AFL-CIO). Also included are copies of Gorman's poems, songs, and short stories. A majority of the correspondence relates to Gorman's writing, including letters from the American Guild of Authors and Composers and copyright certificates for many of his songs. The collection also consists of photographic portraits and snapshots of Gorman.
